Our Mission & Vision

OUR MISSION (God’s calling for us)

To join God in reaching and transforming people into passionate followers of Christ.

OUR VISION (What it will look like when we "get it")

For every person to know God so intimately that we are filled with His love and power to joyfully offer ourselves in advancing His kingdom in our community and throughout the world.

OUR STRATEGY (How we will accomplish our mission)

Although there are many components and expressions of how we grow as passionate followers of Christ there are a few key strategic areas that we want to emphasize.

1) Our Love For God - His presence in our lives is the very reason He created us. A relationship with God begins with receiving His love and forgiveness through faith in Christ, but it doesn’t stop there. In response to God’s love for us, we love God. Whereas God’s love for us is never changing, our love for God should grow. There is nothing more important than to love God. Loving God is intrinsically tied to obeying Him from our hearts (Mark 12:30, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, John 14:21). This is the Great Commandment. A key ministry to help us grow in our relationship with God is our Sunday Worship Service.

2) Our Love For Others – We are called to care for others in the church family and walk alongside one another through life. We meet regularly together and bear each other’s burdens. We open our homes, share meals, and enjoy each other while encouraging each other to remain faithful to the Lord. This is the Second Greatest Commandment. A key ministry to help us grow in our love and care for each other is our Small Group Ministry. (Mark 12:31; Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42-49)

3) Our Need For Holy Spirit - We continually embrace our total dependence on God and our need to be filled with Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18; John 16:12-15) so we can know Him through prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and His Word (Colossians 3:16), be empowered for ministry (Acts 1:8) and filled with His love (Romans 5:5). It is the privilege of every believer to hear God’s voice and to be led by His Spirit (John 10:3-4; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16). Holy Spirit is the Great Provision. A key strategy to see people filled with Holy Spirit is our Prayer Ministry.

4) Our Commission To Make Disciples –We are called to make disciples of Jesus. This commission is for the corporate church family and individual believers. This includes sharing our faith and investing our lives in helping people in our community and throughout the world to have a growing, thriving, personal relationship with God (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Corinthians 9:22; 2 Timothy 2:2). This is the Great Commission.

A key ministry to help us make disciples is our Discipling Group Ministry.
