Joe Yoshihara

I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and because of this I've always believed that God existed and cared about me. I made my initial commitment to Christ at the age of 14 at a Billy Graham crusade at the Kingdome. After drifting aimlessly in my faith for several years I recommitted myself to Christ as a senior in high school. The Lord used Rita during this time to get me back on track spiritually and I got baptized in 1980. Rita and I finally got married in 1990 after a roller coaster courtship spanning 10 years!

After graduating from Huskyville in 1985 and spending 7 years in the business world I felt led by the Lord to pursue Christian ministry so I enrolled in Western Seminary in 1992. In 1996 we planted Cornerstone and the Lord has blessed us with a wonderful church family and four beautiful children, Matthew, Michelle, Kellie, and Kyle. I used to love basketball but my body now tells me golf is better suited for me these days!
