Cornerstone's Student Ministries (middle school, high school and college) seeks to come alongside families to grow lifelong, passionate followers of Jesus (Colossians 2:6-7)
•Faith: Faith that prevails (Rom 12:12)
•Knowing God: It’s who you know (John 17:3)
•Identity in Christ: Having a God-defined identity (Rom 12:2)
•Character: Character matters (Eph 4:22-24)
•Wise Choices: God’s ways are best (Prov 2:6)
•Healthy Relationships: Love one another (1 John 4:7)
•Life Stewardship: Be a blessing (Col 4:5-6)
One is our middle/high school youth group, LIFE/FOCUS, which meets weekly on Saturday nights (7:00-9:30 p.m.) at the Ministry Center, unless we have an activity. As a community, we learn about walking with God, grow in our faith, have fun together, and give God praise. LIFE/FOCUS is for teens in 6th-12th grades, although we sometimes divide into middle school and high school for lesson time or discussion groups.
A second aspect of our ministry is getting into the Bible together in Sunday school (10:50 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.). We have class for 6th-12th grade in the Library on the 2nd Floor. We meet every Sunday September-June except the first Sunday of the month; on that Sunday youth either stay in worship service or serve in our children's ministry, R.O.C.K.
A third way is through small groups for youth who want to go deeper or have accountability.
The fourth stream is through serving: we serve monthly, on a rotating basis, in ROCK (Cornerstone’s children’s ministry), have a team of student leaders at LIFE/FOCUS, and plan service or short-term mission opportunities.
Come join us! If you would like more information, please e-mail Pastor DeWayne (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We look forward to seeing you!
