The fact that God loves us requires a response on our part. Once love is declared then that love can be received and responded to, ignored, or rejected. Many who wear the label of Christian really are not followers of Christ. These are the people who hedge their bets wanting to keep their options open. They never commit to their relationship with the Lord and as a result leave him standing at the altar. Some want to simply enjoy the benefits of dating without the commitment of marriage yet in the end they will find that their arrangement with Christ was not acceptable.
