Rediscovering the Holy Spirit

When it comes to the Trinity, the least known member is the Holy Spirit.  We have allowed his person to remain a mystery, we have sought to minister apart from his power, and we have a serious lack of joy in life because of this neglect.  Passionate followers of Christ know it takes much more than trying harder, being more disciplined, or filling our lives with more activity.  What we need is a fresh and consistent relationship with the Holy Spirit.

    When we walk according to the Holy Spirit we will have victory over the sinful nature.  There is no greater power than the Holy Spirit and only He can break the bondage of the sinful nature.

    2. Old (Sin) Nature vs. New Nature

    We have a new nature that wants to live into all we were given and meant to be, but we have this old nature that, though crucified, still wields influence in drawing us to live sinfully.  Romans 7:18-7:24
     
    What then is the answer?  Who can rescue me?  CHRIST!  Romans 7:25

    I AM FREE! (because the Holy Spirit is at Work!)
     
    3. I am free because I am no longer condemned!  Romans 8:1-4
