Soksoby (Hello), Cornerstone!

Over the next several months, all of us at Cornerstone get to be an active part of what God is doing to bring a better forever to the people of Cambodia.

As many of you know, from 1975-1979, roughly 1.5 to 2 million people were slaughtered under the brutal regime of Pol Pot. Because Cambodia's best and brightest were targeted: engineers, teachers, artists, musicians, ..., the regime crippled not only that generation, but the ones that have followed.

The average Cambodian makes less than one dollar a day. Children are sold as prostitutes by mothers desperate for enough money to feed their family. The consequence of one man's freewill, in his pursuit of what he thought was right, ripples across the decades.

In the backwash of man's sin, God has been raising up shepherds among the Cambodian people, and bringing His people from the nations...to help the Cambodian church to grow, to help them to reach out to their communities with God's love, and to walk alongside them so they know that they do not walk alone-- all that they may have a heart happiness that lasts beyond a lifetime.

This is the call that Cornerstone has answered.

This isn't about 30 crazy Jesus freaks going to Cambodia while the rest of the church is on hold. This is about all of us, with all of our hearts, doing everything we can to help God's dream for the people of Cambodia to be a reality. Whether it's praying against the enemy and his strongholds, collecting eyeglasses to help people to see, supporting the team financially, we are all in this together. We are SO glad to have you on the team!

Would you join us in praying each day over these next few months this prayer?

God, we know you love the people of Cambodia so much, and that you want them to have a joy and peace that will last an eternity. Would you use our little church, all of the talents, experiences, and resources that you've given us, so that they may experience the healing and life that comes from being in relationship with You? Would you work in us so that we can grow into all that you want us to be? Protect us from the evil one. Forgive our sins. Keep us unified with You. Thank you for your goodness. Thank you so much for all that you've given us. In Jesus's name, amen."

There are many ways we can be a part of God's plan...together we can bless God's heart in giving the people of Cambodia a better forever.
