"My purpose
is that they may be encouraged in
heart and united in
love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding,
in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,
in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
~ Colossians
2: 2-3
Family and friends...
We welcome you and thank you for joining us in a God orchestrated and Spirit led journey into the heart of Vietnam. Your love, support and prayers in partnership with us and the love, support and prayers of our brothers and sisters in Vietnam will continue to bless the soil of a nation filled with nearly 80 million souls.
The time for us has come to prepare our hearts and surrender the essence of our inner-most being so that God may faithfully equip us to freely give what we have freely received. The Lord, our God, has formed a team of servant hearts that have heeded the call to "Go!" out into His harvest field and provide medical and dental services, vision resources, pharmaceutical aid and a plethora of Christ's love for young and older generations alike. YOU are a part of this team as well because you are releasing and sending us out into the very harvest we speak of.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" ~ Romans 10:14-15
Your generosity in love, support and prayer is honored by God and will greatly, and exponentially, facilitate the continuous planting of His seeds not only in Vietnam but in our hearts here at home. God alone will grow those seeds and spread everywhere the fragrance and aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. (2 Corinthians 2:14-15) As you walk with us hand in hand throughout the next four months and beyond, you will taste the eternal sweetness of faith, hope and love through our servant bodies and the whisper of the Holy Spirit....
We praise God for YOU, for it is written, For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord, and then to us in keeping with God's will. ~ 2 Corinthians 8:3-5
We will open our humble hearts and ask God to transform and equip this team to be one as Jesus and the Father are one. The harvest is plentiful in Vietnam, a country whose constitution provides for freedom of worship and yet strictly controls any religious activity that it perceives to be in disagreement with state laws and policies. Christianity is regarded as a Western religion that threatens state powers. We will be watched by big brother but covered by the sweeping hand of God. That is why your intercessory prayer is so vital in moving God's own heart to move mountains into the sea.
Our brothers and sisters in Vietnam embrace and live out their faith in amazing ways despite the perils of persecution they face from their own government. Jesus truly is the center of their lives as they spread the gospel into far reaching places.....areas that are still under the strong bondage of spiritual darkness and depravity. It is our yearning to see and feel God's power overwhelm these dark forces and bring forth a light that shines for Christ alone. As you send us and we go, we desire to allow God to use us in unified partnership with our Vietnamese brothers and sisters in whatever ways needed. We look forward with excitement and great anticipation the ways in which God will pour into our souls and use us to be another encouragement in His vast plans to redeem the hearts and souls of our Vietnamese brethren.
From the lips of Jesus himself, "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
In light of His glory,
