Gordon Tsai

Lead Pastor, Elder

I grew up in Seattle (Beacon Hill) and have been here my whole life. Although ethnically Korean, I was adopted and raised by a Chinese-American family at 3 months of age. After graduating from UW, I felt a call toward ministry, but God was also opening doors to my music career. I ultimately decided to pursue music in my 20s and spent close to a decade as an independent musician where I had the opportunity to share the message of Christ through rap.

In 2016, I married my lovely wife Rochelle and together we have three children: Arielle, Braelon, and Selas. In 2022, I felt the calling to pivot to full time vocational ministry and attended Gateway Seminary where I graduated with my Masters of Divinity degree. In my free time, I like playing sports, watching the Seahawks, and occasionally, pro wrestling. It is my true honor to lead this church to wherever Christ is calling us.

Anton Lee

Worship & Compassion Pastor

I have lived in Seattle since early childhood, graduating from UW, and have worked in a variety of different industries, including: video games, coffee, cellular and jewelry! At the age of 29, however, I felt called to vocational ministry and attended Fuller Seminary. After completing my Masters degree in Theology, I joined the Cornerstone staff in 2002 as the Worship Pastor, as well as overseeing our Compassion Ministries. I enjoy playing music & sports, movies & food! I am blessed with my wife Karen, and our two sons, Caden and Jordan.

Daryl Siu

Family & Community Life Pastor

I’ve been in the Seattle area for my whole life and love it here. After coming to Cornerstone in 2013, I helped lead a few different community groups (CGs), eventually serving as the lead for young adult ministry. I now oversee our Young Families and ROCK (Children's) ministries and am blessed to partner with our teachers and families to disciple both parents and kids. I met my wife Lisa on a Holy Land trip with Cornerstone in 2016, we got married two years later, and currently live in Bothell with our son Dylan and daughter Lily. I am a former competitive swimmer who loves board games, Marvel, UCLA, soundboards, Star Wars and Trek, biking and both real and fantasy football. In September of 2024, I completed my MTE from Gateway Seminary.

Stephen Okamoto

Student Ministry Pastor

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Washington in 2008, where I joined Cornerstone's Youth Group, Life Focus. I benefited a lot from the youth leaders and mentors that invested in me, and my time at Life Focus set me on a path of committing to follow God for the rest of my life and to love and serve others. Nearly a decade later, after college, seminary, and getting married to my amazing wife, Kylie, it has been a very cool, full-circle, moment to be able to give back and serve on Cornerstone's staff. Since being back, we’ve had two daughters, Naomi and Selah, and have been incredibly grateful for our community group and church family’s help in caring for and helping us raise our children to know and love Jesus. A few of the things I enjoy (but am not particularly good at) are sports, board games, video games and trying not to cry at the sad parts in movies.

Joe Yoshihara

After graduating from the UW with a business administration degree I moved to S. California and worked in public accounting, then I worked in finance in the aerospace industry. In 1990 I moved back to the Seattle area, worked for the City of Seattle, and married my high school sweetheart, Rita. We have four adult children Matthew (Hanako), Michelle (Chris), Kellie (Isaac), and Kyle. We also have a dog – Toby. Each of the kids think they are my favorite but it’s really Toby. After sensing God's call to ministry, I enrolled in Western Seminary and we began Cornerstone in 1996 where I serve as lead pastor. Rita and I enjoy serving together, especially walking alongside married couples and participating in our Freedom courses. Playing golf, pickleball, and pool are fun ways I relax and connect with people, both inside the church and outside of it. Rita and I also enjoy playing various board games and card games with our kids and friends.

Takumi Gotanda

Cornerstone Tokyo Pastor

I love to laugh, but I am not good at making people laugh while delivering sermons. I would like to get better at it though! I have a wife Mai and two daughters. It has been 20 years since I have moved to Tokyo for my college. I like the culture and food here, and living in Tokyo gives me a chance to meet with many new people. Right after my college, I worked as a community liaison connecting children with local communities. After that, I started serving in Cornerstone Tokyo. I love to support the young generation like me as redeemers and passionate followers of Christ, and I have a passion for witnessing people change. The life Jesus gives us is without limit, and it is the best gift.

Derick Domae

Cornerstone Tokyo Pastor

Originally from southern California, I moved to Tokyo, Japan as a missionary in 2009. I joined the Cornerstone Pastoral leadership in 2016, where I help to disciple people to a deeper and intimate relationship with Jesus. My heart is to see Japan reached. I believe in stopping for the one. This means that discipleship is more than just teaching people from a distance, but investment into each person’s life. As people fall more in love with God, and begin to live out their freedom in Christ, they will share their faith with others in both speech and conduct. Though I graduated from CalState University Fullerton with a major in Illustration, I am currently studying at Eternity Bible College as a part-time student in Biblical Studies. For fun, I enjoy conversations and meals with people, playing board games, Disneyland, the gym, and studying Japanese.

Rita Yoshihara

Growing up in Seattle, this is home. I've had the blessing of living in the LA area twice in my life, where God used those experiences to strategically shape my faith. Starting Cornerstone with Joe was definitely faith building and stretching for me, especially because we started the church with a toddler and an infant (Matthew and Michelle). Shortly after, we had 2 more kids (Kellie and Kyle). After 30 years of marriage, 4 kids, and almost 25 years of full time ministry, we've never looked back. God has taught me so much along the way. He is faithful, and truly amazing! I enjoy meeting with and walking alongside younger women in their journey of faith and life, event planning, and listening to worship music!

Billy Cheung

Director of Audio/Visual Ministries

I have lived in the Puget Sound area for most of my life, growing up in a Chinese Christian church, and graduating from UW (Go Huskies!) in 2000. I met my wife Jennifer while at UW and got married a couple months after we graduated. I've worked in the retail and the banking industry before moving into the tech world where I currently work in the IT department at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. I came to Christ while I was in junior high school during Youth Camp after feeling the Spirit move my heart to come to Him. Since that time, I have found a calling to serve through music, leading worship at my previous church for almost 25 years, along with managing the audio video technology during services. We started attending Cornerstone in 2019 and shortly thereafter I joined the staff as an intern under the Worship Ministry. After my internship, I joined the Cornerstone staff part time as the Director of Audio/Video. We have four children and currently reside in Renton. I enjoy playing sports (basketball, football, baseball), watching movies and TV series, and attending pop culture conventions, along with playing instruments like the piano and drums.

I was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. At the age of 15 I moved up to Issaquah, Washington where I fell in love with the green trees and beautiful environment that starkly contrasted the harsh desert I was used to. It was a hard adjustment, but through experiencing the transition, it truly affirmed my identity in Christ. I now live a life fully surrendered to God's providence and whatever direction he may lead me. The current nudge is pastorship, and I am thankful for the Cornerstone Community for being able to provide me with this chance to explore God's calling. My focus with this internship is the young adult community but my scope is not limited to this demographic.

Some personal details about me: I love rock climbing, music, board games, and spending time with loved ones. I have my bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Washington, and I am exploring continuing education (seminary). A fun fact about me is that I was almost scouted to be on American Ninja Warrior during a season in 2025 (ask me to see the email). I am pretty agile.

Growing up and Encountering Jesus – I grew up in the land of sunshine and beaches, near Los Angeles in Orange County, CA, and first experienced the love and power of Christ at a Christian camp during middle school – I didn’t know him personally yet, but prayed in my cabin for a brother of one of the guys who had stomach cancer, and received word of his complete healing by the end of that week! Since there are no coincidences in God’s economy, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord, and have been growing and following Him ever since. School, Work, and Family – After college at UCLA (Go Bruins!) and USC for law school (Go Trojans!), I met Linda (my wife) at a bible study at a home in LA rented by Pastor Joe at the time (again, no coincidences with the Lord!) In 2007, after seeing myself as Peter stepping out of the boat when Jesus said “Come,” we decided to move to Washington. As we were confirming our call to the PNW, prophecies prayed over us included being part of a revival fire occurring on the west coast up through the PNW, and that in my life here, I would be a “changer of culture.” Linda and I moved here with 4 terrific children – Stephen (now living in LA), Michael, Sarah, and Allie. Life with the Spirit – We have been blessed with Cornerstone as our home church since moving here, and through our community of passionate Christ followers I have experienced the joy of journeying and deepening my relationship with Holy Spirit, to live a life of love, power, and freedom bringing the aroma of Christ and good news to my family, church, neighborhood, workplace, and beyond. Now I’m living in the land of His presence (and a lot of rain!), where mighty things are happening in His name. God is awesome!

I had a radical encounter with Jesus during my freshman year of college at UCLA (Go Bruins!), and my life has never been the same since. I have been in the Cornerstone family for the past 20 years, and, together with my wonderful wife, Patti, help out with the missions team, Cornerstone Tokyo, compassion ministry and international student ministries. Abba's love is the best, and I just want more and more people all over the world to go deeper into that trans-formative love with them by the power and presence of God's Spirit.

I grew up in a small plantation town on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii and while I attended church my faith really grew in my early 20s alongside my life and ministry partner, Tracy. Tracy and I, along with our three children, Taylor, Elisa and Micah have called the Seattle Eastside area home since 1995. I love outdoor recreation, our Cornerstone family, and of course, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Serving in the prayer ministry and overseas has been an extra special blessing for both Tracy and I. We love our Cornerstone family deeply and are so grateful to have a great church home.

I grew up in Toronto, Canada and graduated from the University of Waterloo, where I met my wife, Joyce, while serving in a campus fellowship. We settled in the Seattle area after a brief stint in Asia and decided to make Cornerstone our home shortly afterward. My personal ministry has focused on encouraging people to have a deeper, closer, and more intimate relationship with Jesus - to know him more and to experience his love for us in a real, tangible, and amazing way. I enjoy reading, playing piano, playing hockey, snowboarding, and learning random things in general! Joyce and I have two kids - Lucia and Milo, who continuously help me grow in understanding how deep the Father's love is for us.
